Sara Young, MSN-APRN, FNP-BC, RNC-OB, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and registered nurse providing compassionate care to patients at OB/GYN Associates of Miami in Miami, Florida. She holds an Inpatient Obstetric Nursing Certification, as well as certifications from the American Heart Association in Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and as a Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider. She also maintains advanced certification in Fetal Monitoring from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).
Sara earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Florida. There, she achieved various accolades and was named a FNSA State Convention Delegate and UFNSA Chapter Vice President, and received an Outstanding Senior Mentor Award. She was also nominated for the Golden Key and Delta Epsilon Iota Honors societies. Following graduation, Sara completed her Master of Science in nursing from the University of Miami, where she earned membership in Sigma Beta Tau.
Sara completed her nursing clinical rotations at North Florida Regional Medical Center, Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc., Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, and Malcom Randall VA Hospital. She then completed her clinical experience at a variety of settings, including family planning offices, urgent care clinics, and GI oncology centers. She worked in the labor and delivery department of Baptist Hospital of Miami for several years before joining the team at OB/GYN Associates of Miami.
