About Dr. Davis

As a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, Dr. Anna Davis, MD, is passionate about providing comprehensive medical care to women to improve their overall well-being at OB/GYN Associates of Miami in Miami, Florida. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Davis was born and raised in Miami, and is proud to care for women in her hometown. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Academy in Miami, where she received excellent preparation for her rigorous future education. She earned the Chancellor’s Scholarship, a full academic scholarship, at Vanderbilt University. During her four years at Vanderbilt, she was in several honor societies, active in a sorority and was a resident advisor. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in biomedical engineering and received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Scholarship.

She decided to attend medical school a little closer to home at the University of Florida (UF). During her first year, she received the Academic Perfection Award in recognition of a 4.0 GPA. While at UF, she led a team of over 20 healthcare providers on two medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic. She was also an active member of the Holistic Medicine Group and the Health Outreach Association.

After eight years away, Dr. Davis chose to return home to pursue her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. She participated in several research projects and had 2 abstracts published in the area of obstetrics. Her proudest accomplishment, however, was being awarded the 34th Annual Helen Lansman Award, which is given to the resident who has shown the most compassion toward patients.

In private practice since 2011, she has built a reputation in the community for being a comprehensive and caring physician who takes the time to get to know her patients, listens to their concerns and provides thorough care. Her passion for her field is broad and all encompassing, but she has a special interest in adolescent gynecology and menopause as well as caring for high-risk pregnancies and breastfeeding.

When Dr. Davis isn’t caring for her patients, you can find her exercising, listening to good music, or spending time with her family. She is the mother of two young children and a proud daughter, sister and friend. Dr. Davis also volunteers her time sharing her expertise and educating women at Kristi House.
